Sega ha annunciato un emulatore per il Sega Mega Drive: Sega Mega Drive Classic Hub. Come specificato sul sito inglese di Sega, l’emulatore verrà lanciato il 28 aprile su Steam come un aggiornamento gratuito. Chiunque sia in possesso di titoli de Sega Mega Drive Classic potrà accedere gratuitamente all’hub; purtroppo, però, almeno per ora, l’emulatore sarà un’esclusiva americana.
Il Sega Mega Drive Classic Hub riporterà i giocatori nati nel ‘90 nelle proprie camerette e a godersi i giochi che li hanno accompagnati nella crescita scegliendoli da una libreria virtuale.
Inoltre ci sarà la possibilità di usufruire del multiplayer locale per i giochi supportati, impostare la grafica, salvare durante la partita e sarà compatibile con il controller e la tastiera. Infine tutti i giochi avranno il supporto di Steam Workshop, per permettere ai giocatori di condividere e creare le mod per i retrogame.
